Hunter Valley Wine Tours

Wine tasting Fees?

Wineries are a business. For your private group tasting, a $5 or $10 cost may apply per person at many wineries - payable by you, it may also be waived or credited - back to you - if you buy wine – so if you drink wine – you eventually buy wine – best time to buy is on a wine tour – you get to taste it first – it will be unique (you bought it from the maker) you don't have to drink it that week – but when you want a bottle to drink – you will have it on hand and appreciate it, from your day in the Hunter Valley. More Premium experiences may cost more than $10pp, and some require payment in advance on-line to book.

Private tasting?

Wineries can be very busy – booking firstly assures you and your group entry, but also a private section; table or room, with one of their staff members taking you thru a range of their wines. Of course wineries hope to sell you wine if you like it. A tasting fee is an attempt by wineries to recoup costs for the staff member, the space, and the wine provided. Private Wine Tastings are almost always a great experience wineries do try to make it so, politeness by guests is appreciated and be aware Responsible Service of Alcohol applies at all venues.
